33-year old SSD-AUSn forward Angok Deng (203-F-1992) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Dar City Basketball Team and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6 (Second Stage).
He had a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Matero Magic (#3, 3-4) 85-78. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Dar City is placed at 2nd position in Basketball Africa League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Dar City already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Deng had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Dar City's top player in his first season with the team. Angok Deng averages just after three games 21.7ppg and 9.3rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Josh Thomas (193-G-1997) of top-ranked Ferroviario Beira. He is American guard in his first season at Fer.Beira. In the last game Thomas recorded an impressive 22 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course Fer.Beira cruised to a 78-66 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Bravehearts (#4, 2-5). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Fer.Beira consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team lost just one game this Second Stage, while they won 6 matches. Thomas is a newcomer at Fer.Beira and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Marc Seylan-Agbo (193-G-1992) of Matero Magic (#3). Seylan-Agbo showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Seylan-Agbo's great performance the Matero Magic lost 78-85 to #2 ranked Dar City. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Matero Magic ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Seylan-Agbo could help Matero Magic to bring them higher in the standings. The season just started for Seylan-Agbo as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Solo Diabate (183-PG-1987) of Dar City - 13 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists
5. Lance Thomas (208-F-1999) of Thunder - 18 points and 5 rebounds

7. Ater Majok (210-C-1987) of Thunder - 8 points and 11 rebounds
8. Omar Thielemans (203-SF-1999) of Matero Magic - 12 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
